Not What I Expected
I expected the band to start playing at 8pm, when the scheduled start time is 8pm. They didn't actually start the show until almost 9pm. Most people have school or work the following morning, keep in mind it's Sunday night. I drove over an hour to get there and knew we would get home late, but I didn't expect them to make it later. I was disappointed in the set list, I didn't realize that they were going to be playing songs from bands that inspired them. When I purchase a ticket to see a band in concert, I'd prefer to hear their music, not someone else's. We left 45 minutes into the show since they started late and played songs I wasn't there to hear. Needless to say, we were ultimately disappointed as this was a band we grew up listening to and were excited to relive our teenage years for a night.
The venue itself was okay. We were surprised when it was mostly standing room only at this one in particular, as this was our first time here. Luckily, we found seats, but I couldn't imagine how the people who had to stand's feet felt the next day after waiting so long for the band to start.
Ultimately, it certainly was not the best concert I've been to.
